"Moppity Vineyards is based at Hilltops but this wine was grown at Tumbarumba. It won a gold medal at the 2009 Royal Sydney Wine Show, and also a Best in Class award. I’ve been looking around for a well-priced chardonnay for a wine list that I’ve been working on, and this is the perfect fit (though of course, it’s not limited to restaurant distribution). Thing is, it’s an excellent, fresh chardonnay that will drink well with food, even if well chilled.

Lemons, nectarine, grapegfruit. Very little oak influence and yet the wine doesn’t lack texture. Refreshingly acidic, but not too much so - it’s fresh and zippy, but not too challenging. Apples. Lots of apple-like flavour here. I like it. You could even drink this with pork. Smoky oak-spice in the aftertaste. Delicious wine. 93/100" ~ Campbell Mattinson, The Winefront
